Bobby grew up loving art and it didn’t matter what kind. His grandmother’s piece-work quilts, sewing and crochet; his mother’s sewing and cake decorating; all the great aunts' embroidery; his father’s yard work, even granddaddy’s TV repair–junk yard–auto shop-- Bobby found beauty, form and balance in all these things.
"Everything has always been art to me," he says. "I believe art is everything and everything is art whether it is man made or God made. Art is about the beauty you find in the work that makes you respect what you see, and makes you want it for that special place in your heart. Art should speak to you in a way that it speaks to no one else. Art should talk with your soul, not with you.
"When I create–the art comes from another place. I believe this is when a higher power takes over and flows through me. I am just the worker bee. I use whatever it takes to complete the vision—whether it is oil, acrylics, pen and ink, or tape and building materials. The idea may start with me... but the final vision is left up to the viewer's imagination alone. "This is the best part of my work", he says, "how it speaks to you!"
Bobby has, in his words, "had a few careers!" He's been an industrial mechanic, helicopter mechanic, busboy, cotton mill worker, graphic artist and art director. He's taught black & white photo developing and ceramics in Alaska, owned his own shop where he made art from discarded items, and created 3-D art and caricatures for the Army.
"No matter what position I was holding," he says, "the pictures in my mind were always beautiful."

My animals are sharp - all straightlines with lots of texture and meaning. Cool as they can be because... well, animals are cool.
There is a book in the works about these guys and it is just way to complicated to explain here...lets just say they were once my angels...well, they still are.
Everybody knows Redheads are like red hot jawbreakers and always just tons of fun! So this world is all about them.
These are all my folksy pieces. These are mostly exploration pieces I fell for and just had to finish.

THE CHATTAHOOCHEE VALLEY
Columbus, Georgia as the epicenter.
Columbus, Georgia is a beautiful city and we don't realize just how beautiful it is sometimes. It is my goal to make the viewer see this area in a different light, to make one notice things they see everyday but they don't really "see" or appreciate. Using color and different angles I hope you can see what I see and enjoy.
For now I'm presenting parts of Columbus, but this city is the center of many beautiful towns, farms, the Chattahooche River, Fort Benning, Lagrange, Warm Springs and Callaway Gardens. This area includes Alabama with places like Phenix City, Auburn, Opelika, Seale and Eufaula. As this area grows we try to save everything we can but many things change. Buildings are replaced, mills burn... things change. Progress is a great but it changes many things. I hope to save this area in photos before we lose anymore. We will lose in a lot of ways as we gain in others but many of the things we love and cherrish will disappear. We will miss them when they are gone.
Please send me your ideas of places, buildings or anything that you think will disappear in this area and you can help us "save" it for future generations. Thanks!

As an artist I constantly study my surroundings.
The color of nature amazes me. I like to see things
a little differently.
I like to change the color and shapes of things to see if I can still make one believe it is still something they see everyday. Check out my roosters. They are not roosters but everybody calls them roosters so I gave
in and I call them roosters. What are they then? That
is your choice.
I love to explore and leave my work to
your imagination. Hopefully everyone will
see something different when they look at
my art.
